Builder refusing to fix items on snaglist

We signed a contract for a building package with Bergan Properties (Reg no ***) for a newly built house in Centurion. Johan van den Berg is the owner. The contractor ended up being Martiq Homes (Martiq 466 cc, Reg no ***). The house was completed and property transferred into our name on 12 December 2015. As per the NHBRC regulations, we have 45 days to submit a snag list, which has to be corrected within 21 working days. Such a snag list was submitted on 30 December 2014.<br> <br> To date, there are at least 7 items on the snag list which have not been fixed, and which Johan is refusing to fix. We have lodged a complaint with NHBRC, but would like to warn potential buyers to be very careful when dealing with this man. He has verbally abused both my husband and myself, and his attitude in general is extremely unpleasant.
