Ford Figo Transmision

I wonder if I could get some assistance. My husband bought me a Ford Figo in 2018 brand new. It only has 55 000 km on it and the gearbox is making an awful sound. At first it sounded like a tractor and I immediately knew something was wrong...we took it to Ben Morgenroodt last year for a service and asked them to have a look, it then had 51 265 km on it. They kept my car for six weeks and then told us that they would pay half of the R48 000, needed to replace the transmission, because the mechanical waaranty expired. I feel that is totally unacceptable seeing that it must obviously be a production fault. I still have the same tyres on the car which I had when my husband bought mE the car and they are not in need of replacing, but I have to replace the GEARBOX?! I e-mailed the headoffice and they asked for extra information which I gave...but still haven't heard from them.
