Rent Increased Without Consent, No Communication or Tenant Agreement
<div>My rent was increased without my knowledge or written consent. This violates tenant rights under the Rental Housing Act and Consumer Protection Act. No prior notice was given, no explanation, and no apology when I questioned it. Who raises rent secretly and expects tenants to accept it?</div>

23 Sept 2025, 16:07Admin's Response Unprofessional: "I Have A Baby Dear"
Raised my concerns about rent since July when I received my invoice for August and was repeatedly ignored. I stated if the issue was not resolved, I would be forced to move out. Now that I want to move out at the end of this month, they say I didn't send notice in writing, but the same admin, when I told her about me moving in August in verbal communication, she laughed about it and said that was fine. A few days ago, she had a baby, and I followed up on WhatsApp since no communication was sent about who would be covering for her.
And she told me to send an email about the Ren issue to the head office, and I didn't even include her on the email because I was aware that she just had a baby. But her employers responded and included her, and this is her response to me: "When I raised legitimate concerns, the admin lady rep****: 'I have a baby to look after, dear... if you want to move out, by all means do so.' This is extremely unprofessional. My rental concerns were dismissed with personal excuses, no accountability, and no resolution."
She continues to say:
"I don't like blame games; if you want to move out, by all means do so. We can't force you to stay here.
You have never given confirmed notice to vacate, and you and I both know this.
The deposit will be paid after we do our deductions for all damages in the flat.
Thank you. I will unfortunately not be responding to any further emails as I am on leave."
Tenants deserve respect and professionalism. I have heard stories about you guys and you all are so good am selling your business on lies but they lack so much integrity and communication.
