Worst customer experience I have ever had

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am sharing my story with Bellville Furnitures and hope to save someone from going through the same horrible experience. First week of April 2021, I ordered a corner daybed couch and picked out our fabric. We confirmed that the daybed should be on the LEFT, the OPPOSITE of the couch that they had on the floor. The salesman, Victor, assured us that this will all be noted on the tax invoice. We left the store happy, paid in full along with a R600 delivery fee (quite high in my opinion). Victor told us it will be done in 4 weeks. After 5 weeks of no contact, I HAD TO CALL THEM to find out what is happening. Victor informed us that the warehouse had ordered the incorrect material. This caused another weeks delay. I was annoyed but understanding, this is an honest mistake. After another week goes by, and my couch is delivered, however the daybed was on the WRONG side. I was told that sorry, Victor has no recollection of this conversation taking place. I was told that this detail would appear on the invoice. It did not. He did not write it down. There are phonecalls to confirm this, unfortunately nothing was put in writing (lesson learnt) After sitting without a couch for almost 2 months (due to their mess ups) I refused for them to collect the couch and insisted that a new couch first be built and they can swap them in 1 delivery. They clearly wanted to cut costs and would instead “remodel” the existing couch. I insisted that a proper inspection must be done before sending the couch back. 8 weeks later, my correct couch is finally delivered and as I expected – clear fabric damage from the “remodeling”. I now have to sit for another week while they fix the THIRD mistake they have made. I have asked for some sort of compensation (less than 5% of the value of the couch) – after 2 weeks of the manager (Naomi) insisting she understands my frustration and will arrange that, I am told that it is OUR fault the couch was incorrectly built the first time and no compensation will be given. It is now June. 10 weeks later and I am still waiting for the couch I paid R14,000 for and with no apology from Victor, Naomi or the owner. Do not waste your time or money at Bellville Furniture. It is not worth the hassle and wait. - From extremely frustrated, dissatisfied customer.
