Terrible work by nail technician

In early May, I had a booking for a hand and feet soak off, new set of acrylic overlay for my hands, and a new set of gelish for feet. The appointment was booked for a 09h00 to 11h00 slot.

The good: Great prices; convenient location; clean and professional looking facilities.

The bad: Soak off not done properly: The nail technician started with my hands. She did not soak off the old set properly, and spent more time FILING off the old set off (I had even advised her at the start that I have weak nails and it needs to be soaked off properly and to avoid over filing).

Time allocated for me was insufficient: So much of time went by for the soak off - that I had to cancel the feet treatment. The nail tech says that two hours was insufficient and the lady that does the bookings should have booked me in for a longer duration.

Steps of treatment missed: She completed the hand treatment with cuticle oil and I left the mall. As I was driving and the oil wiped away, I noticed that the set on one hand is shiny, while the other had a matt finish. I return to the store to tell her. The technician asks ME if she put a top coat. I was not sure. And the technician next to her tells her that she did not put a top coat on one hand. She then puts a top coat on one hand while she had another client seated across her and I am standing up.

Unprofessional: Instead of apologising, she thanks me for returning for the top coat.

Poor quality: Even with the new set of acrylic overlays, parts of the old colour can be seen under the nail. Treatment was done just a week ago, and the acrylic is already lifting.

Status: I called back on 10 May to make another appointment for that week, and requested another nail technician (I said how unhappy I was with the previous one). Unfortunately, I was advised that they have only one nail tech that does acrylic.

I will now be returning to my previous salon – which although has higher prices – has much better quality and service!

I posted this review on their FB page on 10 May, but it is only visible from my profile. When I ask friends to check the review, they are unable to see it on their page. Only the 5/5 rating reviews are visible. There is no point of having a FB review page if they are hiding reviews and falsely showing a 5/5 rating! I actually tried them after seeing their good review on FB.
