Not value for money - lacking professionalism
My fiance and I took his mom for a birthday treat. I researched all the reviews online before booking - and I chose to ignore the negative ones - if only I listened. It was an average spa experience with a lot of professionalism lacking. It is clear that the the******s are not employees of Bella Diva Day Spa, but rather just consultants who work as needed - they take no ownership or proactive decisions in making a guest's experience of a higher quality. Firstly, we paid for a 3hour package for 3 people - we got a 2hr30min package. Secondly, our appointment was scheduled for 2:30pm - we arrived 2:25pm and we only officially started at 2:45pm. Thirdly, our break did not include biscuits as indicated on the voucher purchased. When we sat down for this "break" they offered us tea or coffee - I asked for juice because it was extremely hot on Saturday afternoon. The the****** came back and indicated that juice is R30 per glass!!! WHAT! We did however not pay this fee as we forgot about it. The Indian head massage was exactly 10min long and all the other treatments were also only 30min each - the full body was 45min. The full body massaged lacked "educated hands" - it felt like a child was "massaging" my back until the time ran out. We were left to "relax" twice for 15min each time which we were left in a room listening to loud the******s and doors clapping close. The main the****** who was supposed to announce the treatments or assist in directions to the next treatment, could not be heard at all. She did not speak with confidence and we had to repeatedly ask her to repeat herself. The gowns were winter gowns on a heatwave Saturday (I called prior to the appointment to confirm if we had to bring our own gown). All in all, as mentioned above, it was average. It was not valued for money at all. I am a frequent spa-goer and I can recommend better service and pricing all over Gauteng. I will not visit again and I will never recommend anyone to go.
