Is anybody home???

The phones in the rooms at the Belaire suites North beach Durban are clearly there for decorative purposes only. Nobody from front desk nor switchboard nor at duty management ACTUALLY answers the phone, so don't bother calling. When you need (for example) a wifi password, rather go down stairs to hunt someone down for it (or not, as its not worth the frustration). Its a shame, given the beautiful sea facing rooms with spacious parquet floors, comfortable foam mattress beds and wonderful food from the excellent in-house restaurant - all of which should kill off all irritations. But sadly, failure to answer calls and add to that the cleaning staff who walk over dirty plates in the hallways succeeds in *****s an otherwise pleasant stay.
