Unreasonable Client

<p>We are sick and tired of unreasonable people who, when we do not accede to their dishonest demands, post allegations and negative comments about the company - and does damage to the image of the company without the true facts being known. Here is a case in point where a client tried to get 2x industrial doors for the price of the one quoted - and after other free items, when we refused, he now threatens to put on internet and make our name bad. Herewith facts and figures which can be checked in the market place as being very low prices to perform the work:</p> <p> </p> <p>1. Clear 250m2 area with TLB - rate R15 / m2 - Total R3750 <br />2. Excavate 12x holes 1mx1mx0,5m - Rate R45 / m2 - Total R270 <br />3. Reinforcing steel cages for holes / bases; supply material, fabricate and place - R140 /each - Total R1680<br />4. 25mPa concrete, supply and place for 12x bases - R625 each - Total R7500<br />5. Supply material and drill 12x base plates with 4x holes - Rate R150 / each - Total R1800<br />6. Fabricate columns with base plates and paint with primer; 12x; 1056kg (steel ex client) - rate R5 / kg - Total R5280<br />7. Supply chemical epoxy, threaded rod, nuts and bolts, and erect / install columns; 12x; 1056kg (steel ex client) - Rate R9 / kg - Total R9504<br />8. Supply material and fabricate new girder; 242kg - Rate R20 / kg - Total R4840<br />9. Erect / install roof girders (5x secondhand ex client; 1x new); 1650kg - Rate R9 / kg - Total R14,850<br />10. Supply and install new haunches (cost of steel R2520) - Free of charge - Total Free of charge<br />11. Erect / install purlins (steel ex client); 875kg - Rate R9 / kg - Total R7875<br />12. Supply tek *****s and washers and install roof sheets (sheets ex client) - R30 / m2 - Total R7500<br />13. Paint steel with grey enamel (cost of paint R2100) - Free of charge - Total Free of charge</p> <p> </p> <p>(A) MARKET VALUE OF ABOVE WORK DONE / COMPLETED TO DATE R64,849 plus VAT = R73,927.86</p> <p> </p> <p>(B) PAID BY CLIENT TO DATE R33,750</p> <p> </p> <p>(C) SAVING TO CLIENT ON ONLY WORK TO DATE R40,177.86</p> <p> </p> <p>1. Add for 250m2 cladding to install and fabricate and install 1x set doors client still wants - R11,250</p> <p> </p> <p>(D) ADD ABOVE TO PREVIOUS MARKET TOTAL; TOTAL VALUE R85,177.86</p> <p> </p> <p>(E) QUOTED CLIENT FOR ABOVE R45,000!!!</p> <p><br /> <br />(F) SAVING TO CLIENT R40,177.86!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>(G) ADD THE FREE ITEMS MATERIAL COSTS ONLY; AND THE SAVING IS R45,000!?</p> <p> </p> <p>It does not end there; too stingy to rent a trailer; this client borrows my 6m trailer for FREE (because of the business he is giving me?!) to fetch a tank stand from another province - and when we go and collect our trailer from him, the almost brand new jockey wheel is damaged beyond repair, we had to wait for one of the tyres that he had to repair, and the suspension spring leave was broken - not a thank you; or at least a offer to pay for the damage...</p> <p> </p> <p>Please check above rates with any contractor, QS, structural engineer or architect.</p> <p> </p> <p>This client says he is gonna make my name bad because I refuse to finish by doing 2 doors whereas we quoted for one; and brickwork that he would've done, did not; and we have to do the extra cladding FREE OF CHARGE. We would rather cut our losses, because a person such as this also do not pay the final amount when you finish.</p> <p> </p> <p>PLEASE COMPARE ABOVE WITH ANYTHING POSTED BY A PERSON REGARDING BEKKER STEEL CONSTRUCTION RE A SHED ON A FARM.</p>
