Refusing Refund due to the fact I was sick

We have made booking with Anytime holidays on December and paid R7900.Unfortunately I got sick with flu two days before holidays at Pebble beach and went to see a doctor. I have requested them to cancel my holidays due to the fact I have flu and even send them medical certificate, the are refusing to refund and have forfeited the whole money, even though I explain to them that Pebble beach was not going to allow me entry due to the fact I was having flu and my temperature was not normal and due to government regulation regarding pandemic I was not supposed to travel on that condition and have no choice but to cancel. I don't understand why I have to forfeit the whole money the least they could have done was to penalize me because its not my fault that I got sick, I believe they are unfair towards me as a client and very disappointed on how I have been treated. I believe good service get good referrals and bad service get bad referrals, and my service is totally worse on this case.
