A disaster and unprofessional company to deal with, be aware and careful!

I booked at Cayley Mountain lodge for the Easter weekend via Booking.com but cancelled due to personal reasons. BEWARE: they debit your account within hours for the full amount(R25k). Cancellation is a disaster: I logged the cancellation on the 28Jan and had to phone them today to check today(3Feb) and it was not actioned yet and they then point you to a 14 day return policy on Booking.com whilst they enjoy the interest of your funds. So I asked the stroppy lady to advise when the refund will be paid and she said it could take 14 days, from when????????? They also need some kind of management approval to release your funds???

Dear Rabind Deoraj

We note that you booked with an external supplier and not directly with us.

We advise that your queries and comments be directed to that booking channel.

Kind Regards

Reviewer Update
Booking.com advises that we contact you directly to query the refund on the website so that does not absolve you of the fact that the funds needs to be refunded urgently as you were sent an cancellation email via their website and took NO ACTION from the 28th Jan up until my call to you on the 3rd Feb when I called and that is 5 business days with nothing done and I was then told it could take a further 14 days??
I will also raise this query with booking.com
