Bedrock studious Strand should not be on the map for guesthpuses
I have been to bedrock studious on. O day 26 June 2023 to take my 15 year old son and two younger grandchildren. The reception, Becham, a foreign male gave me a rate of R590 for the night, apparently a special, I went to the bank to draw cash and returned with my boys and a few overnight bags. But his boss approached me as he changed the rate to R890. Who h I was will g to pay because we travelled 100km and was very tired. They stationed myself and the boys with our bags in a tiny cluttered reception with a small mirror on the floor in the entrance of the cluttered reception. I did not pay much attention to it because as I took out my cash to pay the reception insisted on another R250 damage deposit. By now I was very irritated with them adding to the rate and decided to leave. As my kids carried our bags my grandson accidently knocked the mirror with o e of the bags and it cracked. Boy! We're these bedrock studio staff crazy. They insisted on money and refused to let us out of the door. I refuses to pay the ridiculous so called damage because a mirror does not belong on a floor in the doorway. Neither had any of the bedrock staff an idea of how to treat guest or be transparent about rate charges. My I'd was taken and I had been so tired from travelling I had not even bothered to go to police for assistance but just left Cape Town and strand immediately.
This is the most pathetic excuse of a guesthouse. I will never recommend anyone to such a common place.
