Cot smells of paint 3 weeks after delivery.

I collected a cot from these guys and was unable to use it because it smelled of paint. The fumes were so bad that we weren't able to use the nursery while the cot was in it. We tried everything to get rid of the fumes, including airing the cot outside for a whole week, washing it down with warm soapy water, airing it with all the windows open and the fan going for days and it still smells of paint. <br> <br> When trying to resolve this, it took almost a whole week to get a proper response from them. They say they'll phone you back but they never do, you have to chase them for an answer. Their final explanation was that the factory is delayed because of loadshedding and wrapped the cot before letting the paint dry completely, which to me a poor excuse as paint fumes are harmful especially to babies. Surely by now the paint has dried, but yet it is still off gassing fumes. They aren't able to guarantee that the next batch wont have the same problem. This is unsafe for babies and I would not recommend you buy your cot from these guys, especially if they are willing to cut corners like this.
