Beauty by Be****r

I feel compelled to share my experience with Beauty by Be****r, especially for anyone who is considering her services. While she is a talented makeup artist, my experience was far from what I expected, and I want to make others aware.

Before booking her, I was quoted a certain price. However, when I went for my trial, I was extremely disappointed. Not only did she use cheap products like Shein and Essence, but I was paying a premium for a trial that didn’t match the cost. I felt like I was getting subpar products for the price I was paying.

Another red flag was the difficulty I had in getting any sort of confirmation or invoice. I repeatedly asked for an invoice or details about a deposit, but she would not provide any. It was very anxiety-inducing knowing I had booked her but was left without any formal documentation.

The worst part came just a couple of days before my function. She suddenly almost doubled the quoted price, adding unexpected travel fees and VAT charges, which felt like a bait-and-switch. I didn’t expect this, especially when I had budgeted based on her initial quote. It was frustrating and unsettling, as I was essentially trapped with no time to cancel.

From what I’ve gathered, this seems to be a common issue with her. Several others I spoke to mentioned similar experiences: initially quoted a price, only for it to increase last minute with added fees. She also refuses to provide invoices or deposit details, which leaves you in a position where you can’t back out when the price is suddenly raised.

While her makeup skills are fine, the lack of professionalism and transparency surrounding her pricing left me feeling taken advantage of. If you’re considering her, be prepared for potential price hikes and be cautious about how she handles deposits and invoices.

Please, take this into consideration if you’re planning to book her. If you’ve budgeted for a certain amount, be aware it may not stay the same by the time your event rolls around.

The one star is because is the makeup turned out fine, just my experience was very traumatising.
