Dont book the named property on booking.com
Ive booked my family into the above mentioned property on bookings.com from 23 - 25 June 2026. The family of 5 who arrived from mosselbay to Cape Town for a graduation ceremony. Upon booking in it was found that there is more people living on this property, mind you the adverti*****t does not mention that anybody lives on the property. The said property of the unit is devided into 3 accomadation units where 2 of them are used for permanent residence for people with many loud and noisey children. When the family arrived the following was experienced. They had to clean the unit as the following was encountered: Clean the sticky floors and countertops Dirty bedding Dirty lounge suite No hot water Stove not working properly. Fridge had a hole in on the inside . Interior doors had holes in Windows cant lock, meganism missing. Cracked items on table. Cutout on counter top and stove so big its an electrical safety hazard. Curtains dirty Chicken bones found on chairs The owner requested an extra 500 for cleaning fee upon check out. Mind you this is for a family that travelled 500 kilometeres or more but found the place to be disgusting. I was so shocked upon receiving this photos i actually would like to be compensated for the ordeal they went through , i actually think that how can bookings.com allow something like this to happen, delapetated properties and false adverti*****t to take place, would bookings.com really risk their name to be smothered across social media. I was totally lost for words
