Still no response from Beaton Landscaping

Good afternoon Kit.

I have attached all our correspondence as well as photos of the collapsing rock landscaping that you installed.

Further to my numerous attempts to contact you via whatsapp (where you have blocked me), I would like to advise you of my position, as follows:

I have sought advice from a reputable SALI member landscaping contractor, who is in agreement with me that your installation of the retaining rocks was poorly executed.

Simply put, he advised:

‘If one dry-packs rocks to create a retaining wall, these rocks must be stacked on a slight slope to avoid collapse. Packing them vertically will result in collapse’.

I notified you of the same concerns last December, at which point you promised to rectify. In our latest whatsapp correspondence, you once again blamed the rocks, and immediately thereafter, blocked me, thereby cutting off communication.

Further to the above, I have also sought legal counsel.

I have three children. Two of whom are four years old. My children, as well as their friends play in our front garden.

Should any one of my children, any other child, or any adult, injure themselves in any way as a result of any part of the rock landscaping that you installed collapsing, or giving way in any manner, I will hold you liable for any and all damages.

With the above in mind, I urge you to come and reinstall the rock landscaping in a manner that will stop the rocks from collapsing, as you had previously promised.
