Non Payment of Salary

I worked on contract at Lewis Stores: Beares, Marsh Street, Mossel Bay. I was appointed as a Stock Controller but had to do credit control. It was a job and I was thankful for it - so I did it. My first 3 month contract expired without them informing me whether I still have the position or not. I had no other job so I just stayed. After a week of being totally unsure and no job-security I eventually got another 3 month contract. Two weeks before the last contract expires I still had no idea whether my contract will be renewed or not. This time however I was able to secure a position at another company and they wanted me to start asap. I still had no word whether the contract will be renewed or not. Due to EXTREME ***** in the branch I wasn't even sure whether the doors of this branch would still be open in future. I therefore had to make the decision and accepted the other position - giving 24 hours' notice. I gave them proper notice and was in my right to leave within 24 hours. The law says my salary needed to be paid within 72 hours. I am STILL waiting and need the money urgently. They are refusing to pay my final salary. Empl # 201555. # *** / HR ***
