******* CREDIT ENQUIRY

Last week a friend received two calls from Bears Barberton. The first call tried to sell her a furniture which she declined. The same caller phoned later on enquiring if she knew me. This startled my friend and she dismissed the call by declining to answer the question. The number that reflected on her phone was *** which is a number of said shop. My friend alerted me to the call. I then called the Store Manager and enquired what was happening to justify the store to contact a friend and asked if she knew me. She investigated and later on reported that none of her sales staff have contacted my friend or made any enquiry relating to myself. However this morning, I received an sms alert from Transunion indicating that there has been a Furniture enquiry on my credit report. Clearly there is a connection with this enquiry and the last week's telephone call. I again contacted the manager and she says there is nothing on her system relating to the enquiry. I am not happy with this matter. Surely there is somebody in or outside that shop that is on to something *******ly.
