BEARS REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!!!
My son opened an account at BEARS FURNITURE STORE BARBERTON, MPUMALANGA on the 25 September 2018 and purchased a queen size bed and a 65" JVC flat screen TV for us his parents. Firstly the goods could not be delivered the same day which goes against the BEARS PROMISE of same day delivery. They did not tell us that they did not have the TV in stock before the deal was signed. The stock clerk said they would have to get a TV from another branch. They then requested a TV from the Groblersdaal branch and it was delivered to us 2 days later.
After 2 weeks my husband heard a sound coming from the back of the TV and he reported this on the 8 October at the branch in Barberton. A sales person came out to the house a day later and heard the sound and agreed that this is not what supposed to be and agreed that they will outsource a new TV which we would get in 1 weeks time. Needless to say nothing happened. A call was made to my husband to say that they still need 2 weeks because they can't find a TV for us.... on the 23 October I called and spoke to the Branch manager Sipho and he said they still looking for a TV because they can not get a TV in any of their branches... A week later I called back and still no results. I spoke to the stock clerk who said they battling to get a TV in all their branches....which I asked in the whole of South Africa BEARS don't have a 65" TV???
I called the head office on the 11 November 2018 and spoke to a lady by the name Zakirah, explained the situation. 2 days later head office called my son and told him that the a new TV was going to be delivered to the branch and I should have the TV in the same week....still nothing happened. I called head office again on the 7/11/2018 and and spoke to a man by the name of Napè and he reassured me that the agent busy with the case will call me back....I have not received a call to date.
In the mean time BEARS is harassing us to pay for something that is broken and second hand... We were also told that this particular JVC model TV's were giving problems in the first place... Last week my husband spoke to the clerk at BEARS at the Barberton branch and he admitted that the TV supp**** to us was a TV returned to the Groblersdaal branch by a customer that was faulty and repaired and on display at the Groblersdaal branch... We went as far as telling BEARS to take back their goods because we are not satisfied with their service...
Please help me to understand, why should my son pay for a new TV which was sold to us under false pretenses as a new TV, which is second hand? Why did they sell him something which they knew was giving a problem? Should we as consumers be ********** in this manner and still be harassed to pay if we not satisfied...??? Never once did they apologize for the inconvenience caused. They did not even try to get us a replacement TV...nothing at all...instead they tried to persuade us to take a smaller TV just to keep the contract with them.... Totally Disappointed, Unsatisfied Customer
