Beares / Lewis furniture stores Never buy from any Beares furniture or Lewis stores. Allow me to explain. Handbags two accounts. Went into my local New Park Kimberley branch of Beares furniture store and asked for a settlement, paid the amount in full. Asked for a settlement letter wich they said they couldn't give me and must come from their head office. One Saturday went in again asked for my settlement on second account, again paid in full and again asked for a settlement letter wich they again couldn't give me. Asked the lady that day to also help me cancel my debit order as I paid the settlement amount in full. End of the month debit order went off again. Visiting the branche Saturday after Saturday asking them to help. Their credit department phone me saying I owe them outstanding money and they are going to hand me over. Explaining over and over, visiting the branch Saturday's and first an amount of R3000 and with interest after interest went up to an amount of more than R13000 within a few months. Again paid R13535 that was outstanding according to them, an amount i did not owe them but paid in full. And again they put me on credit bureau, black listed my name. I went into my a African Bank branch to check my credit rating and the guy at African Bank showed me according to Beares furniture I have an outstanding amount, I am handed over and I am a bad payer . Went to the branch with a lot of excuses. If you buy from a Beares furniture or Lewis furniture store your account never get paid in full. While at African Bank the guy told me he had two clients this week with the exact problem as myself, both clients showed receipts where there accounts was paid in full , non of them could get settlement letters the same as myself. Either Beares furniture/ Lewis stores are a bunch of ****** that steel people's money or their staff are *********** to do their job. Either way they only cost me money. I paid more than R13500 which I did not owe them, debit orders went off I did not owe them and now I am black listed and again showing an outstanding amount Conrad Pretorius *** ***
