BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I had a voucher for breakfast for 2 at Bean Tree Cafe, , Observatory. I called on the morning (twice) but phone just rang and no-one answered. I decided to go to the venue and on arrival there were two tables occupied in the entire venue. We were ushered in, and when I told the waiter that I had a voucher, he said that I cannot come without an appointment which is part of the conditions. I told him that I did call and that no one answered the phone, that he could not serve us and we should speak to the Manager. Along comes Khalil who tells us that they cannot serve us as we did not have an appointment and that it states on the voucher that we should make an appointment before coming (nevermind that I called and no one answered). We pointed out that the conditions also states "subject to availability", and what is the problem that they cannot serve us as there are only 2 tables occupied in the place and they were not busy at all. He was adamant re appointment. I feel that considering the voucher was paid for, etc and that they were not busy AND THE PLACE WAS EMPTY SAVE FOR 2 TABLES BEING OCCUPIED, they could have served us. BIG THUMBS DOWN, NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN. We ended up going to Spur at St Peters Square instead and got great service.
