very bad repairman

I would like to share this to warn others. I used this business to repair a very good washine machine. He appeared friendly when he recieved the machine but that was all to change. He asked for a deposit for the parts which cost R1600. We paid promptly but then struggled to get hold of him for almost a week. The machine was promised by The following Friday. From Thursday, having paid the deposit, to Friday there was no response. We did visit his premesis only to be told he was out on call. They assitant could not even show us our machine or the parts. After 6 weeks of excuses we eventually asked a lawyer for help. He only phoned and asked politley the reason for the continual delay. He too was given the run around. We were then verbally abused by the owner after making arrangements to meet him at his shop to see the state of the machine and proof of the spare parts. 8 weeks of waiting and eventually our machine was availible with very cleverly placed *****s inside the drum that would ensure our washing was shredded if it were to be used. How people like him are allowed to even operate is a great mystery, We eventually had to buy a new machine because we could not wait. So in the end it cost us over R1700 plus the price of a new machine. Be careful and be warned if you choose to use him.
