SUPER SWOLLEN LIPS!

<p>On Tuesday 7 March I bought a Zam Buk lip-ice. I used it on the same night and the next morning my lips were somewhat swollen. I thought of sunburn, but I wasn't more than 3 minutes in the sun. I thought of an insect bite, but no marks. So I used Zam Buk again. The next morning I looked terrible! I was hardly able to eat or drink. I went to the closest pharmacy and the pharmacist said that it can be something that I have eaten and was allergic to. So she sold me a packet Clarex 5, an anti-histamine which I swallowed. No success. I was not even able to show my face in public. I was house-bound during my week-long holiday in Pretoria!! Then my daughter suggested to stop the Zam Buk lip ice and offered me her Smith's Rosebud Salve. The next morning my lips were a bit better. We read the ingredients in the Zam Buk and discovered on Google that a substance which is poisonous in it's original form, was used. The name tehereof is Sassafras and if taken as is, a teas**** full can **** an adult. But there was no warning on the lip -ice! I used the Zam Buk in the tin my whole life without any complications. I am very rattled about what has happened. My lips took 2 weeks to heal.</p>
