Very disappointing experience with Remax, the Val De Grace Branch in Pretoria, the agent, Annelie Jansen Van Vuuren, sold our house in Lynnwood in February 2019. There were damages to the building which we agreed to replace. The money would be deducted from our profit. She was so anxious to receive her commission that she had invoices from the contractor send for payment to the lawyers without checking what was for my account and what was for the new owner's account. The new owner also had repairs done with the same contractor. Unfortunately all the repairs were settled from our profit and now I have lost almost R40 000. The lady at the lawyers also said she was requesting her to make payments to the contractor without checking the invoices and the contractor also said he had to give her invoices for repairs he haven’t even done yet. She was just asking everyone to settle so the transfer of the house could happen and her commission will be paid out.
