Remax Infoglobe Contantiapark lack of managing electricity bills.

I have been leasing an upmarket property in Lynnwood from Remax Infoglobe Constantiapark since March 2022.

In this time I had a number of incidence where my electricity account was added later to my bill, and sometimes only added to my statement the following month. It was not that the electricity bills was not available from Tshwane, (as I myself are a owner of a property that is rented out), they just lagged with the financial admin to include it on time. So after the end of the month, my status was sometimes marked as "in arrear", because they only added the electricity to the statement in the new month. I have put this lagging or bad administration on their side under their attention. This was a frustration for me as I am a business owner and needed clean admin from Remax Constantiapark for my record. So this is the background to my complaint against Remax Constantiapark.

Last Tuesday I was underway to my property in the Western Cape when I received a message that my electricity was cut off approximately at 4pm in Lynnwood. Remax is solely responsible to pay the Tshwane electricity of the property. I had approximately R10 000 of meat in 3 freezers (fish, game, lam and beef).

I immediately contacted the Remax property agent via whatsapp to attend to the problem - no reading of message or reply. I then contacted the Remax "manager". He rep**** at 19h40 that night with no resolution to the problem. I also contacted the property owner in Texas to put pressure on Remax to fulfill their duty to re-connect the electricity for which I have already paid in previous months into their account.

Friday came and gone, Day 2 with no power. No communication from Remax manager. Saturday came, still no power, sending message to manager. Did not even read it. At the end, the owner of the property paid the "outstanding" amount directly to Tshwane. By this time my freezers were un-freezed. The power was only reconnected on Sunday, from what I can confirm from my information. I waited till Wednesday (this is now 4 business days since the incident) for Remax to offer me an apology and an explanation for their mismanagement of my electricity bill. Nothing from their side, nothing. At the time of writing, still no apology or explanation.

On my return to the Lynnwood property I had to discard of all the fish (tuna, cob and yellowtail) in my freezers. All my dairy product was off to the bin. I still dont know if my red meat is over-matured or rotten as it was frozen again.

It is a total frustration to (must) work with people that don't take responsibility and think they belong to some hierarchy that is more important than their customers. I strongly recommend NOT to use this branch of Remax as renting agents, whether you are the owner of a property or seeking a rental property. Its a total displeasure to communicate with them and I wish it wasn't necessary to do so.
