Porperty Agent NOT clark Kent

We recently were exposed to probably the worst estate agent that I have come across. The ReMax agent Kent, who showed us the property in question, was either not well trained or he just has not concept of what or how to treat people or satisfy his customers. The deal was sealed after one viewing and when the registration was completed he phoned to say we can PICK up the keys at the gate. We were shocked. Most agents, upon registration, will bring the keys and a gift and or flowers, congratulating you on the new property obtained and takes one through to make sure everything is as it was on the day of the viewing. The fact that he actually lives in the same estate where we bought the property and our home is 5 km from there, makes it worse. We collect the keys and the second shock hit us. The place was dirty. In the kitchen the tap fittings had been removed and the stove was very dirty. The bath looked like cement was mixed in it. Plugs and keys missing. Towel rails removed. In the bedroom the floor was bulging and the ceiling had a massive stain due to a broken tile on the roof. Not the agents fault, but had he taken the effort to walk through the place before he handed it over he would have known. Remember he lives in the same estate. NOT out of his way. We left several messages and tried hours to get hold of Kent. Eventually, he called (Friday the 11th November at 15:35) and promised the HE will sort it out over the weekend and the place will be spotless by Monday. Famous last words. We had the only set of keys or did we? So how was Kent going to manage it? Needless to say we NEVER heard from Kent again. RATING – very, very poor NOT even 1 star for this agent.
