Awful after sales service - Remax Property, never use them!!!!

I bought a house through Remax East London in August 2017 for over R2 million.

In October 2017, there was a spate of torrential rains and there were major leaks from the roof both inside the main house and the outside flat. I phoned the estate agent and they phoned the sellers who sent someone to fix the leak. I was informed that the gutters were clogged hence the leak into the house. It started raining again and the house leaked AGAIN! I, again contacted Remax who in turn informed the seller and I was told it’s my problem and I must fix it! This was within a period of 3 months.

I phoned a local reputable roofing specialist i n the area and they came to assess for a quote-they informed me that they had been to the house before (while it was still in ownership of the previous owners) and that they had told the previous owners that the roof was damaged beyond fixing and needed to be changed all together (as it’s a flat roof) they also gave me a copy of the pictures and a 13 page report with pictures amounting to over R100k for the job. The estate agent didn’t disclose that the roof was leaking and the seller did not sign the defaults form...

Remax advised that I seek services of a lawyer which proves to be expensive for me as I am a single mother while my house seems like I live in a fish bowl every time it rains , causing damage to the ceiling, flooring, personal items etc

To date, this matter has not been resolved and neither does the Remax East London Principal seem remotely interested in assisting.
