Extremely bad and arrogant service
I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Battery Clinic Roodepoort. The saga started last year where we had bought an Atlas battery with a 2 year warranty. 3 months later my wife's car would not start in the morning with this new battery in. I had to rush home and jump start the car. Armed with the invoice and warranty I went to the Roodepoort branch where we had purchased the battery in the hope of having the battery exchanged and we could move on with life.
The branch manager and area manager were both there and proceeded to test the battery on the vehicle and advised me that the battery is fine and charging. I confirmed that this is correct BUT after I had to jump start the thing which was not even 3 months old. They advised me that they can take it in overnight and check the charge and advise if the battery is charging or not.
On requesting a loan battery so that my wife could get to work - they said this was not an option. So there we were - stuck. I left it and let my wife go to work. Guess what happened the following day. This continued until this year when the thing completely failed and I had to remove the battery and take it in. Same explanation and by now I was fed up with the bad service and quality of their product.
I eventually spoke the arrogant owner Steve, who bragged he has 18 stores and that we are insignificant and that he had taken other people who had issues with his products to court. I eventually told him off and went to Battery Centre where the service was a 100 times better.
The fact of the matter is this, I want to try and prevent other innocent people who cannot afford to have a battery replaced after paying for one that is supposed to work in the 1st place the trouble of going through the agony and financial pain of dealing with an ***********, arrogant company who's owner has yet to learn about customer service.
Please safe yourself the trouble and deal with reputable suppliers but not battery clinic.
