Disappointed by Poor Quality and Lack of Follow-Up from Bathu

I purchased a pair of Bathu sneakers at BT Ngebs Mall on Friday, 20 December 2024. I still remember the day clearly, as I was preparing to attend Umgidi the next day and decided to try something different from my usual heels.

As someone who doesn’t usually wear sneakers, I expected a better experience, especially from a proudly South African brand. Unfortunately, the quality has been incredibly disappointing. I’ve worn the sneakers fewer than seven (7) times, and already the front tip is torn and the back has started falling apart.

I went back to the Bathu store at BT Ngebs Mall to report the issue. The staff were able to confirm the purchase and admitted it could be a factory fault. They took my contact details and assured me I would receive a follow-up call.

To date, I have received no communication, no update, no apology, and no resolution. As a customer who had high hopes for the brand, I’m incredibly let down by both the product and the customer service. I’m sharing this review to warn others and to urge Bathu to take accountability and improve both their quality control and after-sales support.
