Misleading Advertising
Misleading Advertising and Poor Customer Service
Dear TFG Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and disappointment with my recent experience with your company. I purchased a GUESS handbag from your online store, which was advertised as a handbag. However, the product I received was a purse, which is a significantly different item.
I promptly contacted your team via email, providing screenshots of the adverti*****t and the product I received. Your team requested pictures, which I provided, and after investigation, you acknowledged the error and apologized, stating that the description would be updated online. While I appreciate the acknowledgement, I strongly believe that a simple apology is insufficient, especially considering the clear breach of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the misleading advertising practices employed by your company.
As a consumer, I expect accurate representation of products, and it is disturbing to see a reputable brand like GUESS, represented by TFG, engage in such practices. The CPA is in place to protect consumers from exactly this type of behavior, and I will be reporting this incident to the National Consumer Commission (NCC) as a formal complaint.
Furthermore, the proposed resolution of a 20% discount is unacceptable. I did not request a discount; I requested a resolution to the issue, which includes collecting the misleading item and providing me with the handbag as originally advertised. The lack of effort to engage in a meaningful conversation or provide a suitable solution is appalling.
I hope you understand that I will be taking this matter further and seeking a more satisfactory resolution. I expect a more proactive approach to addressing customer concerns and adhering to consumer protection laws.
I await a more substantial response from your team.
Sincerely, Sharneez
