Baseus SA Ignoring Defective Product Complaint and Ombud Escalation

I am very disappointed with Baseus South Africa and the way this defective Baseus Eli Sport 1 matter has been handled.

My wife and I have both had issues with Baseus products that had to go back. My Baseus Eli Sport 1 earbuds were confirmed defective and still under warranty, but the retailer, Gadget Time Cape Gate Mall, refuses to refund me and only wants to replace it with the exact same model.

Wayne Assur from Gadget Time told me telephonically that this model is being removed from the market due to multiple issues. I therefore do not accept being forced to take the same product again.

I contacted Baseus South Africa for assistance, but received no response. The matter has now gone to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, and there is still no proper resolution its been months.

Based on my experience with the product, the retailer, and the lack of support from Baseus South Africa, I would not recommend Baseus products.
