Theft incident while staying at the Guesthouse

While staying at Baruch guesthouse in Stellenbosch I had my things ****** to the value of R4500 out of my room. When reporting the case the GM Mariette Kirby not only screamed at me but also hung up on me. I eventually got ahold of the owner Natalie Scheepers who then said I should open a police case so as to claim from their insurance which I did. Today I received an email saying that the issue will no longer be investigated as ultimately what they’re saying is that this was due to my own negligence and they’ve never had such an issues and so in their logic there is no way this could happen at their establishment despite giving them timeline, my things going missing while I was staying at their establishment and them not having an kind of proof to support that my things were not ****** on their property.
