Barrique restaurant pet friendly when it suits them

I phoned the restaurant the evening before going and asked if they were pet friendly. They said yes they were, after mentioning that our dog is a pitbull they back tracked with all kinds of reasons as to why they actually didn't think it was a good idea. None of which are valid as they have never met the dog and we would certainly never endanger the lives of others. Whenever we take him out with us people just love him, they get a really bad rap. When we were at the restaurant we asked again this time not mentioning the breed and were told they were pet friendly. I found this very discrimatiry and will not return there again. They also have no vegan options on the menu everything is just lumped together.
