Barrett and Associates - Unprofessional , ***********

Another company that does not deserve any stars . Used by FNB ,I had contacted FNb and notified them of a financial situation i was in earlier this year and made a payment arrangment of R1000 on this account. Next minute i know i have been getting sms's from this company that they received my R1000 every month . So i called them yesterday , the 22nd of October 2019 , spoke to a lady by the name of Tsetso who did not know anything about my account , she was telling me the last time i paid was in June , then i said no i got the sms's from my bank to show i pay every month . Then she goes on to say that FNB incorrectly handed me over and that she will speak to her manager and call me back . Needless to say the call did not come. I called them today , 23rd of October 2019, spoke to her again and then she says that the manager says there was no mistake as i had defaulted on payment , so i said can never be . She kept asking me if i confirm that i am liable for the debt from FNB , so i kept saying that the reason i am paying this account . She then kept asking if i can see my account online, and until yesterday i could , so she says that FNB handed me over to them to monitor the payments which makes no sense, even Pre-legal did not call to state the hand over to Barrett and Associates. Eventually i asked her what can be done to resolve this , she says that i can contact FNB and sort it out with them. Wow, great , i am still paying into the FNB account and not into this companies account. What to do !!!
