I took my vehicle to Baron Bellville because it was making a knocking noise when turning. During a telephone conversation, I mentioned that I thought the right control arm might be the cause, but I expected the dealership to inspect and diagnose the fault before recommending any repairs. Instead, they sent me a quote for replacing the control arm based solely on our phone conversation. I approved the repair, trusting their professional expertise. After paying over R8,200, the knocking noise is still there. I was then told that they only replaced the control arm because I asked for a quote and that no diagnosis had been done. I am disappointed that such an expensive repair was recommended without first confirming the actual cause of the problem, and I would like Baron Bellville to take responsibility for properly diagnosing and resolving the original fault.
