Tyres not delected that they are not road worthy.

<p>Hello Peter</p> <p>On the 14th of March 2016, I was driving on N2 enroute to St Lucia. It was raining and I was driving on the stretch of road with two lanes, fast and slow lane on my side and with no barriers separating the oncoming side of traffic which had one lane only. There was a stationery ambulance parked on the yellow lane in the side of the road on my right. </p> <p>An oncoming heavy duty truck tried to steer clear of the stationery ambulance and veered onto my lane. on the slow lane was another heavy duty truck and I was stuck between the two trucks which is when I panicked and app**** the brakes, which at the time was the best decision I could make to avoid a head on collision. The momentous decision to brake and the weather conditions which made the roads wet resulted in the car spinning out of control.</p> <p>On the 2nd of March 2016, I did full service of 60 000 KM and I also did a wheel alignment and balancing with Barons VW on this day, this was just 12 days before the accident.</p> <p>Balancing and alignment was done and I was never advised to change tyres and this was not documented on the job card as well as on any kind of documents submitted to me.</p> <p> </p> <p>After the accident, the tyres were checked and found to be road unworthy. I have ensured that the car was serviced on time and checked the tryes regularly. I am an auditor by profession and not a tyre specialist so I did check the car in accordance with the rules I have learned when doing my drivers learners in the K53 book, and as far as I know, the tyres were road worthy and when VW never advised me to change my tyres after the service and wheel alignment & balancing was done, this confirmed my findings.</p> <p> </p> <p>Thus the I re**** on the professional specialist which is VW and then I have suffered a great loss as my claim was rejected because of tyres not being road worthy.</p> <p> </p> <p>Thank you</p> <p> </p>
