Total con artists

<p>In 2011 I bought a VE Blue Motion TDI from Barons in Woodmead. On collection of the vehicle I asked the salesman, Sello, why there was no spare wheel in the boot. He advised me that these new VW models came with run flat tyres, so there was no need for a spare. I queried this, and I advided the sales person that as far as I knew only BMW & Mercedes did run flats. My sister, who drives a BMW, was with me and she advised me that they were expensive to replace, but I loved the car so decided it was worth while. I do not do high mieage on my vehicle, so have not had to change tyres until now, 2017. Supa Quick advised me that the tyres on my vehicle are totally normal and not run flats and that the dealer should have supp**** me with a spare, a jack and all other necessary parts to enable me to change a tyre. I contacted the dealer and went to meet with Gawie, the DP, who advised theywould get me a price to replace as this vehicle came without a spare and instead only has a repair kit - to save on fuel! I advised him that his salesman had given me **********information at the time of the sale and I did not expect to have to pay. He told me that this was "not his problem" and asked me "do you expect me to pay for your spare?". He was very rude and clearly not interested in fixing their mistake. He referred em to VW SA who advised that each dealer is "independently owned" so there is nothing they can do to assist, other than refer it to their internal disciplinary process. Seems that the standards of VW have dropped considerably over the years. Beware, do not purchase a vehicle from this dealershp as they are clearly just out to make money and provide no after sales service to their customers. I think the DP's behaviour was despicable and would like to prevent anyoen else from having such a lousy experience!!! I even had a witness, as my sister eas with me at the time, but according to them because the salesman no longer works there, there is nothing they can do!!</p>
