Road side assistance

When I bought a VW Polo for my wife +- 9 months ago, I received a key-ring with a number for road side assistance. As she left work before 1pm she heard a sound coming from one of the front wheels which sounded like a flat tyre. She drove to the nearest garage where they inflated the tyres. As she drove away she heard a loud knocking sound coming from one of the front tyres. At this stage she called me and I told her to call road side assistance since it would take me a while to get to her from work. When I got to her, she told me that the number on the key-ring didn't work. She called Barons Bellville and they gave her another number to call. When she got through to the new number, she was told that a technician would return her call ten minutes later. After +-half hour no-one called. She called road side assistance again and was told the technicians are very busy and will call as soon as they're available. At this stage, I was irritated and decided to change the tyre. After 3 hours she received a call asking if she still needs assistance ... REALLY!<br> What if this happened at night or in an unsafe area or I wasn't able to get to her quickly or if the problem was more serious ...
