Never buy a VW

Purchased a brand new VW Polo Vivo from Barrons Belleville - after 2500km the car would not start and we took it in for faultfinding. We were told that there was problems with the engine loom and it needed replacement. Rats or mice apparently chewed on the wires and this resulted in a R49000.00 quote. We contacted the insurance and they agreed to pay so we gave the go ahead to repair the car. It's still brand new car!! That's not the issue, the car has been in the workshop at Barrons Belleville for the better part of 3 months and still there's no indication on when it will be repaired. We have been given numerous dates and not one of the commitments could be met. Surely this should be an easy fix for VW. <br> For those people who can afford to be without a car for 3 months + buy a VW. For the rest, rather look at a different brand.
