COMPLETE DISHONEST AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

In April this year i purchased a Hyundai I30 from this dealership, I am in Cape town so I was very weary looking for a vehicle in JHB simply because I am not there to have the car checked. I took great comfort from the fact that I was buying this vehicle through, what i assumed to be, a reputable dealership - VW BRUMA. In October this year, I was driving the car and came to a stop when returning to the car it was completely dead. I managed to get the car started but noticed that my radio, interior lights, central locking, alarm, immobilizer, folding mirros and air con wasnt working. I took the vehicle into Hyundai to have the problem resolved only to get a call from them 2 days later saying that they havent been able to find the problem as yet and the car needs to go to auto-electrician but I will need to give the go ahead as I will need to pay for whatever the cost is going to be. The service consultant explained that there was an after market sound system installed in the vehicle, the cabling was installed into the original housing of the vehicle and this is what caused the electrical short in my car. Due to the after market sound system and cabling my warranty will not be covering the damage. At this point I told Hyundai not to proceed as I am reverting back to Bruma as I was not aware of any additional cabling in my car nor that there used to be a sound system installed. I spoke with the salesman Eugene Fourie and explained what had happened and now I need my car repaired. He took 2 days to get back to me only to say that because I had already taken delivery of my car a couple of months before they therefore no longer liable. To which I responded that doesnt mean anything becuase I was still within my 6 months of purchasing the vehicle and the fault I am experiencing wasnt due to ill handling or something that i couldve done instead it was a direct result from the after- market cabling and sound system that was installed. The salesman never mentioned anything regarding an after market sound system that was installed, in fact, they sold me a factory fitted standard car. I requested their internal complaints department to which the salesman rep**** saying they dont have one and that I should email the dealer principle Ryan Delaney. It took Eugene nearly 2 weeks to just send me this detail. I then emailed Ryan, nearly 2 weeks ago and he has yet to even acknowledge my email let alone repsond to it. The salesman even went as far as to say that "they" - Bruma dont know anything about any after market sound system that was installed, to which I rep**** that cannot be true. when any dealership sells any car, they first check the car out, then they have the car cleaned. During any of these procedures they wouldve seen the wires laying under the cover by the sparewheel as well as this massive converter coming up to the battery. The salesman Eugene, chose to lie and shake his responsibility in this. Why would they feel the need to lie if they werent at fault??? All I want is for Bruma VW to be fair and to live up to the brand and take ownership and liability of what has happened and resolve my query and fix my car as this is completely a case of non disclosure. The way this dealership has decided to deal with this issue is utterly appauling and disgusting. They are what is wrong in the world today, companies and people like them who are supposed to operate by a code of ethics seems to be lost on them. Greed is their only driving motivation at the expense of the general public and their clients. I will take this to every platform I can possibly take it to ensure that people know and hear about the ***** and borderline ******* way Bruma does business. In the meantime i am driving a car that has no alarm, immobolizer, central locking, radio and air con. This is not only an inconvenience but its also not secure at all.
