Barons Tokai & dont want to pay to fix problem

I purchased a vehicle with barons tokai a polo comfortline 1.4 2010 for R135000 and when i took the vehicle for its first service it was within 6 months of me purchasing the vehicle and we mentioned to them that the exhaust is making a sound. They then completed the service but did not leave a note anywhere about the exhaust pipe making a sound and i never got a chance to bring it them again cause i could not get off work. When i brought the car they found out it was my manifold that has a crack in it and my motorite warranty does not want to cover it cause they say its wear and tear and i dont even have this car for a year and i then complained to the dealer ship and they say there is nothing they can do to help me but give me discount to fix the vehicle and i do not think its fair that i have to pay as i did mention the problem within 6 months of the dealerships warranty but because the person we mentioned the problem to did not leave a note the dealership is saying there is nothing they can do and i honeslty do not have any money to fix this problem as it is just me and my sister working in my houslehold to support 5 people and this is not the first problem the vehicle has given
