Barons a bit confused

Hi all,

I am a bit confused at the moment. I bought a Vw Polo Vivo in March 2015. They told me when I bought the car that it's a 2014 demo model and the car is still in it's workshop warranty. Also, I need to service my car by an approved Vw machanic. Well I trust my machanic more, so I just decided to forfeit the warranty and use my own guy. So according to me the warranty is done. Two weeks back someone drove into the rear end of my car, so I did an insurance claim. Again I want to use my own panel beater, but he is not approved by my insurance company. So I asked them to pay out the cash and then I can use the cash to pay my pannel beater. Now they say they can't pay me out because my car is still under warranty. So I went to Barons Vw to tell them that I have been servicing my car at a non approved machanic and that they must please give me a confirmation letter that my car is out of warranty. Now they tell me it still is under warranty, but if they must do work on it, they won't because it's not under warranty. The only way for Vw South Africa to cancel my warranty is for me to prove to them my car has been written off.

Now I am confused. If I ask them if my car is still under warranty after I have serviced it at a non Vw approved machanic, they say no because I lost my warranty. Then I ask them to put in writing, they tell me it's still under warranty on the system and my car needs to be written off to cancel the warranty.

I need any advice please. I need to get a letter comfirming that my car is out off the warranty, but Barons Vw din't know what to do...

Can anyone help?

Kind regrads
