********** deduction on bank account

Earlier this week I wrote a complaint about Digicash having debited my account **********ly. They contacted me this morning and gave me the name of the company responsible for using their name. It is BAROMAN - ***. I phoned and spoke to Siyabonga who said they say 1Loyalty Discount Cards and he asked if I had agreed to buying that card. I told him I never agree to such and that I have never given them my banking details. He took my contact details and said he will investigate and come back to me.<br> My main concern is how do they get hold of people's banking details without their consent? Are we really safe in this electronic era? I think banks should at least notify a person once they load a debit order against their account.<br> I hope all this can be sorted out.
