Horrible service experience

I asked about the availability of the carpet cleaner which was on display but was warned that it would be very expensive to hire. After some discussion it was clear to me and wife that he was trying to dissuade us from hiring the machine for some reason? We agreed to return the cleaner by 16:30 the same day as they close at 17:00. Once home I started the cleaning of two small rooms. I noticed that the carpet attachment was broken. An unsuccessful attempt was made to repair it with insulating tape. I resorted to using the small upholstery attachment. This worked well but it took thrice as long as I had to go on my hands and knees and clean small sections at a time. All the while trying not to get everything wet as there was a leak in the water pipe. There was also a leak in the suction hose and the power cord was covered in tape. I then rushed to the store to return the cleaner and claim back my deposit. On arrival I was told that I was 10 minutes late and that the deposit would not be returned! Only after an argument and me explaining why I was late an showing the carpet burns on my knees was the deposit grudgingly returned. There was no apology for state of the cleaner!
