BARK incorrectly advertises services killing small SA self-employment companies

Bark, in my opinion based on the un-responsive clients and even the unaware clients to a service request, uses inappropriate mean to profiteer. Professionals purchase credits to connect with clients and when clients are not contactable Bark refuses to refund credits. Some clients are not even aware of a service request yet Bark will not refund credits to the professionals. Bark continuously use a different reasons to why they would deviate from refunds. This non-South African company seems to be abusing the desperately unemployed South African community to profiteer. Bark is part of the environment that kills self employment, when capital pumped into marketing and sales turns out to fruitless leaving small companies in a worst off situation than when they start with Bark and a business partner.

Hi Theene,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We're genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it can be when leads don't meet expectations. Our goal is to support professionals in growing their business, and we never intend for anyone to feel taken advantage of.

Thousands of professionals use Bark every day, and while we strive to maintain the quality of our leads, we understand that not every one will result in a successful connection. As part of our credit return policy, we do review requests for credits if a lead contains invalid contact details or inaccurate information. However, if a customer is simply unresponsive, this unfortunately does not fall within the scope of our refund policy.

We do appreciate your comments and are constantly working on improving our service, including refining how requests are matched to professionals.

Please reach out to us directly at *** if you’d like us to take a deeper look into your account or address specific concerns—we would love the opportunity to help improve your experience on our platform.
