Shout out to Bargain Electrical in Bethal

First dealing with this company was a year ago with my Hisense 55" 4K TV of which the mainboard had an intermittent issue. As we are staying over 350 Km from them my TV issue was resolved within three days after they received the warranty claim from Hisense. Repairs were done here at home and did not even take an hour to replace the mainboard and have the TV back mounted securely on the wall with no further issues.

While watch TV on the 48" LED Sansui in our bedroom we had a power outage of about 10 minutes. When the power came back on the TV stayed in standby mode and would not even hard reset. Many calls later I found that NOW WHERE in South Africa is there a mainboard available for this TV set which meant a 3 year old TV has to be dumped and replaced or I had to run the risk of trying to import a card from overseas for nearly 4K and not receiving it. We then decided to purchase a new TV which would cost 2K more than what I paid for the Sansui. Just before purchasing the new TV I was scrolling through my phone contacts and saw Vusi from Bargain Electricals number. I contacted him and after a lengthy discussion he said he will try to find a card for me.

He contacted me yesterday as they were in the area doing repairs and came to my house at about seven last night. (Way outside normal working hours). We had a good discussion as he was also unable to source the correct card and suggested to replace it with a Hisense card. Common sense say it will not work, however I gave him the benefit of doubt and low and behold I have a perfectly working TV in our bedroom again. The only thing that I had to do was order a new Hisense universal remote which will be delivered by Friday and use my 4K smart remote in the mean time after they left. The only thing that is amusing currently is the TV brand is Sansui and when it boots up it says it is a Hisense TV due to the card firmware. Picture clarity, sound, etc, is exactly the same as with the busted Sansui card. However I now have peace at heart as the Hisense cards are readily available in South Africa. Best of all is the price for the card as well as remote I ordered did not even amount to 2K.
