Such gossips

I got such a shock on Friday when I went to my local BB. I entered the store just after 1 to find the staff chatting around the counter. What they were discussing shocked me most of all. They were gossiping about one of their co-workers. I got the books I needed and left. When I mentioned it to my friends over the weekend I heard that this was not the first time and that these same staff members are not shy about gossiping about customers either. There is also a new girl who was sitting behind the counter when I came in, according to my friends she orders the other staff to get books from the higher shelves while she just sits there even when they are busy helping other customers. What happened? This is not the BB I remember.
