No paperbags available
In total and utter shock to go to Bargain Books Mall of Africa and be told, plastics are not available because they **** fishes; Paperbags are not available because they don't hold books well. Since when as I know si many book stores that offer those ans they always carry our books well. So you forced to buy a R10 carry bag. What utter nonsense. After attempting to buy books for close to R1000 and be blown by that by the till. I simply walked out. Get your service right!

We are sorry to hear about your experience in our Mall of Africa store as we do have empty boxes kept aside for customers not wanting to purchase reusable bags.
Bargains Books said no to plastic bags in 2016. Unfortunately, paper bags aren’t necessarily “greener”. Instead, they may simply shift the environmental burden from decreasing litter to increasing resource use and greenhouse gas emissions. Of course, they are mostly recyclable or biodegradable - but reusable is best!
