Bad treatment at Bargain Books in Newcastle

We are a group of people playing books stokvel, in the process we are trying to promote the culture of reading amongst ourselves. Most of my friends buys book at the Exclusive Books in Gauteng, while I like promoting local, So I normally buys books for different topics at Bargain Books in Newcastle Mall. On friday I went to the Bargain Book shop to purchase three books to the tune of R849.00. The unfortunate part I did not check that the book was a bit torned off at the corner, maybe it was as a result of poor of hapazard sorting them on the shelves. I only noticed that on Saturday when I was preparing to give my friend that book as part of our stokvel exchange. I then drove back to Bargain Books and presented my case, whereby I was told that they cannot accept the book and that the Manager is not even interested in discussing the matter and that I must see what I can do with the book. Then I went out dissappointed and dismayed as I have been a customer for years and I have been very loyal to them. To bargain books national or head office, you have lost a loyal customer in me, for just a R249 book, one of the three books I purchased. The person you made a Manager is miles away from the Managemant Philosophy and customer care.
