Super comfortable shoes, but material disintegrates within a few months

The shoes are super comfortable and we loved them for the first day. My husband even ordered another pair when the current model came out. However, these shoes don't last even 5 months. Our first pairs (previous model) showed disintegration of the fabric after only about 10 weeks. I did complain to Barestep, but they were not interested in replacing the shoes, or even apologising. In the end, after many requests for a reply, they offered me R 100 discount on a new pair. However, why would I buy another pair, when the quality is so inferior? Despite the disintegration of the fabric, I kept on wearing them on and off. And now my big toe is coming through the fabric, i.e. the end of the lifetime of my shoes, after 5 months! At the price we paid, not acceptable! And now my husband had to glue back the sole to the side of the shoe, with his 2nd pair, i.e. the current model. These shoes simply don't last and are not worth the money!
