Poor returns policy

The Barestep shoes I ordered were too tight. Looking to exchange for a size up, I read the return policy only to find the fairly hefty fees involved. Anything from R150 to R600. Then you need to take a series of photos of the shoes as proof of condition. Decided to cut my losses and get a refund. After waiting a month (not 2 to 5 days) for them to arrive, you’d think they’d go easy on me. Not so. Cost me R300. Why use Barestep when Takealot will deliver a variety of similar shoes and take returns for free? A R300 lesson – stick with the suppliers you know.
